Yes, we have another book site for. . .our book!

Hi honeys! First, some swoon…

Most of you probably saw the article in The Hollywood Reporter about our upcoming book, BEAUTIFUL BASTARD, and its follow-up companion novel, BEAUTIFUL STRANGER. Tuesday, our cover was revealed by Entertainment Weekly Shelf Life, and then picked up by Perez Hilton (holy smooookes).

We’ve been trying to figure out how to balance this whole crazy venture with our Swoontini life because, as you probably know, BB is decidedly not Young Adult and we’ve wanted to keep those worlds separate. So we have made a separate site for our adult novels.

IT’S ALL VERY COMPLICATED OKAY?

We miss it over here. Like, a lot. We’ve hardly had time to breathe because our second book (of which we had ZERO words written when we signed with Simon & Schuster in late September) is due December 15th. So we’ve been all type type flail type type flaaaaaail type type.

FEAR NOT, Brave Swoonies, we will be back soon, because after we fly to Vegas to get married to finish up and email the draft of BEAUTIFUL STRANGER to our amazing editor (spoiler: he’s a guy, and he’s really funny), we’re getting to revisions on our YA, and we’re so excited for those we almost can’t even handle it.

But really now. Can we get a hug? It’s hard to not talk about all of this with you guys, because for as much as we joke that it’s like a big slumber party in here, the truth is that it actually DOES feel that way. As soon as I started typing this post, my body was all AHHHHH RELAXING FRIEND BLOG. This is kind of our safe-place and this whole new project has happened really fast and has been a little wild for both of us. Plus, putting a book out there is scary. People have OPINIONS and so far we’ve only been able to dream about people having OPINIONS on our published words. Don’t get us wrong, we’re having a ton of fun, and the sillysmuttylightness of BB was a really good break from the VERY DEEP AND SERIOUS LOVE AFFAIR we have with our YA projects. But we’re looking forward to the other side of the balance we can enjoy: our teen fiction!

And that’s something we just wanted to lay out here in writing: we are so lucky that we can do it all. We have Agent Holly who says, “Go for it!” She signed us for our YA books, but was game when we confessed told her about BEAUTIFUL BASTARD as well, provided we made it into something new. So fear not, Swoonies.
